Scope And Manufacturing

ASTM B622 specification covers seamless pipe and tube of nickel and nickel-cobalt alloys (UNS N10276, UNS N06022). Seamless Pipes and tubes shall be supplied in the solution annealed and descaled condition. When atmosphere control is used,descaling is not necessary. When atmosphere control is used, descaling is not necessary. Mechanical properties of the material like tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation shall be measured. Tension, hydrostatic, and nondestructive electric tests shall be done on each pipe or tube. The mass or weight of each pipe shall be calculated and the chemical composition of each pipe shall be determined.
