As a result, Duplex Steel S31803 Seamless Tubes display properties characteristic of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels. This combination of properties in these Duplex Steel S32205 Welded Tubes can mean some compromise when compared with pure austenitic and pure ferritic grades. Duplex Steel S31803 EFW Tubes are in most cases, tougher than ferritic stainless steels, where their microstructures consist of a mixture of austenite and ferrite phases. Strengths of these Duplex Steel S32205 ERW Tubes can in some cases be double that for austenitic stainless steels. Whilst Duplex Steel S31803 Round Tubes are considered resistant to stress corrosion cracking, they are not as resistant to this form of attack as ferritic stainless steels. However, the corrosion resistance of the least resistant Duplex Steel S32205 Square Tubes is greater than that for the most commonly used grades of stainless steels, i.e. Type 304 and Type 316. These Duplex Steel S31803 Rectangular Tubes are also magnetic, a property that can be used to easily differentiate them from common austenitic grades of stainless. The high chromium content of Duplex Steel S32205 Electropolish Tubes protects against corrosion, and causes embrittlement at temperatures over about 300 Degree C. At low temperatures, these Duplex Steel S31803 Instrumentation Tubes have better ductility than the ferritic and martensitic grades.
